Peacelink Live!, Grateful Generation, and Electric Soul LA are hosting a Relief for Nepal concert at Hollywoods Hottest New Ultra Lounge, Le Jardin, to raise FUNds and awareness in an ongoing initiative to provide relief and help rebuild Nepal. This is not just about coming to a concert, they are creating a possibility for you to personally participate. They will be traveling to Nepal to deliver the relief first hand, help, and oversee the building of new housing, and film the results as part of a continued campaign to assist in completing its restoration. Join the crowd-funding campaign and let’s create sustainable, long-term funding for this cause. When art meets music and great food, amazing things happen. “Vanity Pop” features the works of some of LA’s best new talents. Enjoy art, drink specials, and beats curated by Mr. Numberonederful of Cannibal Flower at Spitz Mediterranean restaurant. Featuring the works include Vakseen LLC, K. Dougherty, Toshee Art, and L. Croskey.

Founders Bryce Rademan and Robert Wicklund laid the groundwork for Spitz while studying at Occidental College in Los Angeles. Discovered while on a semester abroad in Spain, Rademan fell in love with Döner Kebab. It was sold on virtually every street corner and he was hooked. Upon arriving back in the US, Rademan immediately became infatuated with the idea of bringing Döner Kebab to L.A. In the spring of 2005 he teamed up with Wicklund and they ultimately opened their first location a mile from Occidental six months after graduating.

Featuring music from performers Flume and the Ambassadeurs, this year’s video focuses on core tenants of Lightning in a Bottle: nature, growth and freedom of self-expression. Director Russell Ward says, “With layers of creative expression artfully stacked on a base of positive intentions–capturing LIB’s essence is no easy task. This one-of-a-kind fundraiser—kicking off the Park’s brand-new literary arts series—invites Angelenos to participate in an interactive evening on April Fools’. Hosted by radio reporter Rico Gagliano and curated by writer Diana Wagman, Bamboozled: Fact. Fiction. Art? The Art of Deception promises a night to remember with live readings by four notable LA-based authors, Lisa Teasley, Deborah Vankin, Bill Lambrinides and Cherry Chevapravatdumrong.

Screen Shot 2015-03-26 at 10.44.38 PM

The audience then gets to decide whether or not each writer’s intricate stories are, in fact, Fact or Fiction? Signed copies of the authors’ books will be awarded to the evening’s winners. During the performance, artist and muralist Annie Preece will be creating a live painting based on the stories told, which will be raffled off at the end of the night.

The event has been brought to the Park by the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation and made possible by a grant from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Bamboozled is part of the Park’s distinctive year-round programming, which also includes its famed wine tastings to movie nights.
