January 25, 2012 — 2 Comments

This is your chance to fulfill one of the seven deadly sins; gluttony. Eat, drink, and be merry; two full weeks of fine fare at reasonable prices.

Food culture in LA has always been a diverse scene. From tacos and sushi, to celebrity and world-class restaurants. Some go to see, other’s go to be seen.

This is LA’s time to shine, and your time to dine. And dineLA wants to make sure you know as it takes its place among the great food cities of the world. With the growing trend of “foodie” tourism, visitors who travel for specific culinary experiences, Los Angeles is looking to draw attention to its rich, diverse restaurant scene. With thousands of restaurants, LA offers varied dining experiences, from quaint and kitschy to red-carpet extravaganzas, from celebrity chefs and top-rated cuisine to neighborhood legends and bar-stool gourmet, the possibilities are endless!

The event is a strategic marketing program designed to showcase and to promote Los Angeles as one of the world’s premier dining destination. Created for the dining community and visitors who want to sample the city’s culinary offerings. You don’t want to miss out.

The first dineLA Restaurant Week was held in January 2008 and featured 143 restaurants from all over LA County. Now a bi-annual event taking place in October and January of each year, the program showcases over 200 restaurants who offer specially priced three-course meals to adventurous, curious diners. Restaurants will offer meals at discounted rates: $16, $22 or $28 Lunches and $26, $34 or $44 Dinners. These are TGIF prices!

So, take a culinary tour this week and satisfy your cravings! Get together with friends and family or an online date and get a taste LA for valley prices.

Let us know where you plan to dine this week or if you have any recommendations for our readers.
