Universal CityWalk launches its first ever Music Spotlight Series, a free, outdoor concert at the “5 Towers,” showcasing music and entertainment’s top emerging and established talent. The Music Spotlight Series’ eclectic array of the hottest club and radio DJs, next-generation dance crews and chart-topping recording artists will take to the stage for Spotlight Fridays, Spin Saturdays, and Retro Cover Bands and Latin Sundays as part of this unique platform highlighting Los Angeles’ diverse music scene.
Dev, the rhythmic voice behind the platinum, worldwide #1 smash, “Like a G6,” kicks off Spotlight Fridays on June 22. She will perform tracks off her debut album, “The Night the Sun Came Up” which includes the hit song, “In the Dark.”
DJ HowLy and DJ Alex Dreamz will keep the tempo thumping on Spin Saturdays, June 23.
The a capella grooves of Pentatonix will take the stage on Retro Cover Bands and Latin Sundays, June 24. This five-person vocal cover band delivers a polished sound that combines various genres including pop, soul, R&B, and electronic music. Concert goers will also have an opportunity to purchase an advance copy of Pentatonix’s highly anticipated EP “PTX Volume 1,” which is currently #1 on iTunes.
