You won’t find a better family dining and entertainment bargain than at the Port of Los Angeles Lobster Festival. Home of the world’s largest lobster festival and 2009 winner of the Guinness World Record for the Most Seafood Served at an Outdoor Event. They feature fresh discount Maine lobster meals flown in fresh daily and cooked on the spot, and plenty of free entertainment. Lobster lovers enjoy a scenic outdoor park along LA’s historic waterfront, and shops at Ports O’ Call in San Pedro. After feasting on their world-famous discount Maine lobster meals, you can enjoy dancing, street performers, a pirate camp, tall ships, shopping for arts and crafts, and musical performances by some of today’s best up-and-coming acts. As they say at the Lobster Festival, “Come for the feast, stay for the fun.”

Lobster Meals

Every year they fly in fresh over 16 tons of live Maine lobsters direct from the clean, cold waters of the Gulf of Maine for the delicious lobster meal. They cut out the middleman and buy direct from the largest supplier in the world – The William Atwood Lobster Company. That’s why you don’t need to pay in advance at the festival. In over a decade they’ve never run out of lobsters because they ship them in daily during the festival.

They will also have on hand a special limited supply of Monster Lobsters – Godzilla on a plate, 3-4 pound monsters cooked to perfection.

There’s lots to eat at the festival in addition to lobster. The menu varies from year to year depending on the vendors, but they usually have many other seafood items including steamed and fried clams, fried shrimp, shrimp cocktail, roast corn, funnel cakes, and all varieties of traditional fair food, all done in the California way.

If seafood isn’t your thing, then you can dine on the finest ribs or tri-tip, chicken, Jamaican, Chinese, Thai, and other international foods and desserts. Beer and wine are also available. There is also consideration for those with a vegetarian diet. If you dine at the Ports O’ Call restaurant adjacent to the festival entrance and order their world-famous 50 item salad bar you get free admission to the festival. Just take your receipt to the front desk.

Entertainment

This be the Capn’ and crew of the Red Swan on land for a spell with their amazing crew of stilt walkin’, glass eatin’ , fire breathin’ crew. Be prepared to be amazed and delighted day and night with Pirate music, dancin’, and tours of their beached ship. All new this year, bigger, better and more exciting!
