The Italian American Museum Of Los Angles’ Taste Of Italy

October 8, 2012 — Leave a comment

The annual Taste Of Italy is Los Angeles’ premier cultural-gastronomic event. Presented by the Italian American Museum of Los Angeles in collaboration with the Italy America Chamber of Commerce West, Taste of Italy features exceptional Italian and Italian American restaurants, many of which have won Italy’s highest culinary honor, the Marchio Ospitalitá Italiana, as well as dozens of wineries and purveyors of culinary specialties. The exciting tasting event takes place in downtown Los Angeles and will include live performances by internationally acclaimed performers in a historic atmosphere.

With each General Admission ticket, you receive ten tasting tickets – six for food and four for beverage. Additional taste tickets can be purchased at the event. Each ticket is good for one “taste” or portion of food and beverage. You select the establishments you wish to “taste” and can return to an establishment multiple times. Proceeds from the event will support the Italian American Museum’s exhibitions, capital improvements, and the preservation of the building in which the Museum is located, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the oldest remaining structure from Los Angeles’ Little Italy.

Featuring 50 + fine restaurants and wineries including:

Italy’s best-selling reggae band, Mama Marjas, will be performing live, as well as the new voice of the Great American Song Book, Luca Ellis, the Casa Italiana Opera Company, classical virtuosa Nicole Nale. I Zanni will perform traditional commedia dell’arte. Special guests include international supermodel Clarissa Burt, actor-artist Richard Grieco, Assemblyman Mike Gatto, and Los Angeles City Councilman Joe Buscaino.
