Tease, If You Please!

Miss Donna Hood presents Tease, if you please!, a full length burlesque show in the vaudeville style that was so popular back in the 1900’s and celebrates the authenticity of burlesque with a modern twist. Every act has been hand selected for their originality, stand-out stage presence, and show business reputation. The show features performers who have competed in all of the well-known burlesque festivals such as “Miss Viva Las Vegas”, “Bust Out Burlesque”, and “New Orleans Burlesque Festival”.

Miss Donna Hood started performing at the ripe age of 4. Training in all styles of dance and performing with artist such as Usher, Skrillex, Snoop Dogg, and Kaskade, she is no stranger to the stage. Donna moved from Houston to Los Angeles in the summer of 2010 and immediately started performing. One of her first bookings was a spot performing in the touring burlesque show “Strip Strip Hooray!” with Dita Von Teese. Working alongside one of the biggest names in burlesque history inspired Donna to create her own acts and start performing them as much as possible. Along the way she has met and performed with the amazing cast members of “Tease, if you please!“. This is Donna’s first stage production and hopes to share the art of burlesque to Los Angeles in a whole new way.

Also included in their repertoire are entertainers who have performed in such shows as the famous cabaret “Crazy Horse Paris” and even toured with the undisputed Queen of Burlesque, Dita Von Teese. The show also features a variety of specialty acts consisting of singers, contortionists, and hosts that will have you aching with laughter! Donna headlines the show and will be accompanied by guest performers Tonya Kay, Kristina Nekyia, Jessabelle Thunder, Olivia Bellafontaine, Erica Holland, Ruby Champagne, Emilie Livingston, Klara Elias Tess Polacheck, and host Selene Luna.

The show takes place at Bar Fedora, a swanky “Speak-Easy” that continues to innovate with an exclusive handcrafted cocktail list of classics based on pre-Prohibition recipes, new tastes, and live musical performances by the newest up-and-coming talents on the West Coast. The dim lighting, decor, and jazz music playing will make you feel like you took a trip back  the roaring 20’s. Once you have enjoyed a delicious meal and hand-crafted cocktail you will be escorted to your table in an intimate theatre.
