The Hollywood Christmas Parade

We are proud to share with you that the City of Los Angeles will once again be presenting The Hollywood Christmas Parade! This year is the 82nd anniversary of the parade, and will be the best year yet! We look forward to your support and participation in this year’s Hollywood Christmas Parade with proceeds going to Toys for Tots.

The parade will feature floats, giant balloons, bands, equestrians, characterscelebrities, and performances as they ride in a U-shaped route that begins at Hollywood and Orange and ends up at Sunset and Orange.

Children of all ages line the streets of Hollywood, each year, eagerly anticipating the arrival of Santa Claus and the official start of the Holiday Season. For those lucky bystanders, a wink and wave from St. Nick is an added blessing!

The Hollywood Christmas Parade, an American tradition for over 80 years, will be telecast on local television stations nationwide throughout December. This years parade is one of the best in recent memory!

Grand Marshal

The astronaut and second man to walk on the moon, the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the man whose name and persona became the inspiration for the iconic character of Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story, Buzz Aldrin has been named as Grand Marshal of The 82nd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade!

Parade Co-Hosts, Laura Mckenzie & Erik Estrada

Laura McKenzie is the number one television travel expert in the country. She received a 2009 Emmy nomination for her television travel series Laura McKenzie’s Traveler and has won several awards including Telly Awards, Davie Awards and more. After starring as Officer Frank Poncherello in the television series CHiPs, Erik Estrada became a household name. A whole new generation and culture have become familiar with him from his role on the Televisa series Dos Mujeres, Un Camino.

There will be a total of 17 marching bands participating in the parade.
