The Last Confession

June 6, 2014 — Leave a comment

In 1978, a little-known country priest is inaugurated as Pope John Paul I in an uneasy compromise. With the promise of liberal reforms, the “Smiling Pope” warns three hostile cardinals that they will be removed. Thirty-three days after his election, he is found dead and no autopsy is performed. But that’s only the beginning of the story… Don’t miss The Last Confession at the Ahmanson Theatre.

David Suchet (Agatha Christie’s Poirot, PBS) stars in a gripping mystery, inspired by the true-life event, pitting power against faith in a battle for the ultimate truth.
