A new organic and vegan restaurant recently opened in Silverlake called Little Pine Restaurant. The concept was created by musician Moby, who opened the restaurant with chef Kristyne Starling (former chef de cuisine at Aventine). Moby says, “the food at little pine is, of course, why the restaurant exists. I don’t eat non-organic and non-vegan food at home, so i don’t know why I’d serve anything other than organic and vegan food in my restaurant.”
Little Pine offers mediterranean inspired California cuisine featuring 100% organic plant-based produce and ingredients. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, and weekend brunch, and features an extensive wine and beer list.
The place was designed by L.A.-based Studio Hus along with Moby’s hand and heart. More charm than chic, this plant-based eatery is a welcoming oasis in the forest of Los Angeles.
Little Pine will also include a small retail space in the front with art books, candles that smell nice, teas, and soaps.
The room features lots of pinewood, a long banquette with patterned pillows and a larger dining table tucked into a cozy nook, where you’ll find a wall covered in one of Moby’s prints of snow-covered trees from Mt. Baldy.
