All the celebrities who go to “Night of 100 Stars” get an email invite to this party too. Last year it was private just for them. This year they are public and they expect to be bigger than Vanity Fair eventually! The Vanity Fare Party party is right across the street from their party. So their lights and camera’s will be getting their attention too! They are talking to a famous performer to perform! The Playboy Mansion DJ MysterE will also be performing. They expect to blow this party out of the water!

Another year of celebrities, red carpets, and movie magic; the Academy Awards have set the standard and have created a rich history for motion pictures. Soon you will be able to relive this history and excitement at a brand new museum dedicated to the art of cinema and the Oscar Awards.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) have taken a step toward realizing a museum dedicated to motion pictures and the creation of a new and unique cultural center for the city of Los Angeles.  The two organizations are discussing details for the Academy to begin developing plans for fundraising, design, exhibitions, visitor experience, and modifications for this historic museum.

The Academy will provide a much needed destination for cultural tourists and Angelenos to learn more about cinema. The new museum will be a world-class destination that is a tangible representation of the Academy’s mission. And the idea of the museum being part of a larger cultural center for the arts, is incredibly compelling to the Academy Board.

Plans by various groups to create a movie museum date back to the mid-1960s. Now the Academy will mount a new fundraising campaign for the museum, which will give visitors an entertaining and interactive experience illuminating the way movies reflect culture and the impact they have upon it. The museum is expected to feature both permanent and rotating exhibitions inside the facility’s 300,000 gross square feet.

Finally, the  industry will have a dedicated space where they can inform and excite people about the endless range and possibilities of motion pictures. This new facility will make the resources and activities even more visible and accessible all year round.

Stay tuned for more news and for the museums opening date!
