Vegan Street Fair is an annual vegan food celebration where local vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants and vendors come together to serve you bite-size portions of vegan eats all in one place. The best part? All bite-size portions are $3 max and entrance is FREE!

At VSF, you get to nosh on as many local eats as your heart desires (and your belly can hold) for street fair prices. So instead of buying a $10 plate of vegan nachos and sitting out the rest of the amazing food experiences, you get bites from one vendor, move on to the next, and enjoy all of your city’s BEST vegan eats without getting full for a fraction of the price of a regular meal.

The Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery’s multifaceted fundraiser (sponsored by Los Angeles Magazine) invites Angelenos to tempt their palettes with delectable food, artisanal spirits, and a stimulating celebration of art in all its forms. EAT.DRINK.ART. is a kaleidoscope of the senses, a sensational evening for locals, visitors, art lovers, and foodies alike.

All to the backdrop of KCRW’s DJ Dan Wilcox spinning tunes, the evening will showcase a vast array of visual and performing art including live painting, performance artists, giant puppets, nude sketch models, and more. Live music will be preformed by musicians from “The Voice,” “American Idol,” and “The X Factor” and the annual happening boasts top-notch food trucks such as The Urban Oven, Let’s Be Frank, Postcards Central American Soul Fusion, and Coolhaus.The evening features a silent auction of more than 45 emerging + renowned artists including Claire Falkenstein, Alice Fellows, Joy Feuer, John Frame, Mark Steven Greenfield, Heather Lembcke, Leonel Matheu, Ed Ruscha, Gregory Siff, and Wayne White.

General Admission tickets cost $30 in advance ($40 at the door) and provide access to the event beginning at 7:00 pm along with 3 drink tickets. VIP Admission tickets cost $100 in advance ($110 at the door) and provide access to a special reception and silent auction preview starting at 5:30 pm. Dance, drink, and be artistically inspired—all while supporting a true kaleidoscope of exhibits and programs at LAMAG, LA’s only municipal art gallery and the City’s primary exhibition venue offering free admission to all.

The Los Angeles Times The Taste annual food festival returns on Labor Day weekend to the back lot of Paramount Pictures Studios!

Five events will celebrate the city’s food, dining, and cocktail culture, showcasing Los Angeles’ chefs, restaurants, and bartenders. Each event — Opening Night, Field to Fork, Dinner With a Twist, Sunday Brunch, and Flavors of L.A. — will include unlimited tastings, specialty drinks, wine seminars, and live demos.

Opening Night: Friday, August 29, from 7:30 to 11:00 pm. The Taste’s premiere will bring together all of the weekend’s hosts, chefs, and bartenders, including The Times’ Food staff, for a debut soirée featuring tastings, premium cocktail and wine offerings, and live entertainment.

Field to Fork: Saturday, August 30, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Times Food Editor Russ Parsons leads a day inspired by seasonal dishes made with local ingredients.

Dinner with a Twist: Saturday, August 30, 7:30 to 11:00 pm. Betty Hallock, Times deputy Food editor, and Jonathan Gold, Times restaurant critic, collaborate for an evening of some of L.A.’s best dishes and complementary pours.

Sunday Brunch: Sunday, August 31, 11 am to 3:00 pm. Noelle Carter, Times Test Kitchen director, makes Sunday fun-day with an homage to brunch.

Flavors of L.A.: Sunday, August 31, 7:30 to 11:00 pm. Jonathan Gold, Times restaurant critic, will close out The Taste with a tour of the world flavors through the lens of L.A. chefs and local restaurants.

In honor of National Rum Month, Three Day Rule is excited to invite you to a Puerto Rican Rum Party (hat included!) with special guest of honor Roberto Serrallés, a 6th generation master rum distiller, coming all the way from Puerto Rico for this event! You’ll enjoy plenty of neat and mixed rum cocktails and lite bites of Puerto Rican food, while enjoying modern art and expanding your rum knowledge in the process!

The Serrallés Family has been distilling rum in Puerto Rico since 1865. Winner of the 2012 Rum Distiller of the Year, Robert’s newest creation is a 3, 4, and 5 year aged, white rum, Caliche. Throughout the evening you’ll learn about the fermentation and distillation process, their solera aging system, and how The Serrallés Family has created the only green and sustainable rum distillery in the world!

You’ll have the chance to enjoy the Lois Lambert Gallery’s amazing solo exhibition of paintings and mixed media works from Joanna Bielski. Her “Together Alone” exhibit will give you a lot to talk about.

This summer, Fisherman’s Village will come alive with weekly events at Whiskey Red‘s that celebrate the solstice and the unbeatable view from the restaurant’s spacious waterfront patio in Marina del Rey.

Starting in July, Whiskey Red‘s will launch two live music series on Wednesday and Sunday nights, DJs on Saturday nights, and Whiskey and Cigars night on Fridays. Guests can also enjoy new menus for summer and DineLA, featured summer cocktails and recent renovations to the space.

Whiskey Red‘s new summer menu celebrates the taste of the sea, with mouth-watering dishes like the Lobster Roll, Dungeness Crab Salad, Pistachio-Crusted Halibut and vegetarian options like the Baby Kale Salad. Whiskey Red’s has also developed an “Endless Summer” cocktail menu, featuring seasonal flavors, including a Kickin’ Cucumber Margarita and Strawberry Fields Mule. Also premiering this month is a $35 prix fixe DineLA menu, which is available from July 14-27 during the citywide Restaurant Week.
