Street Food Cinema is more than just an outdoor movie. It’s an experience. Bringing together the best in pop culture films, gourmet street food, and progressive new music, Street Food Cinema reinvents the traditional movie going experience – al fresco style. Every element is carefully curated to develop the unique atmosphere that makes audiences want to come back again and again.
Street Food Cinema has booked many great music bands including the so rad 80’s band PAST ACTION HEROES who are ready to blow your 80’s lovin’ minds while you kick back on your blankets and enjoy the sun going down. But before they roll film on the quintessential John Hughes’s classic, THE BREAKFAST CLUB, they’re crazy happy to announce that they’ll have executive producer, ANDREW MEYER, dropping his best insider stories on the making of this amazing movie of teenage angst, class distinction, and Pixy Stix sandwiches. In addition, KIRK HONEYCUTT will be signing his new book John Hughes: A Life in Film.
Exposition Park is where it all goes down starting Saturday, May 2nd. The food truck lineup keeps getting better as they add to their list of gourmet street food options. Now you can grab “The Director Dog” from Angie’s Wieners who will be serving up some of the best hotdogs on the West Cost or you can munch down some “Carne Asada Fries” from the oh so decadent menu of Fry Fry. Then if you dare, top it off with a sweet “breakfast” from Waffles de Liege or a double scoop of decadent Fried Ice Cream from the Frach’s.
And if you haven’t heard, this is their largest season yet with 50 events rolling out over 27 weeks at parks across LA. So if you can’t make it to Opening Night… you have plenty of options to hit Street Food Cinema during LA’s endless summer of sun.
