Archives For Monsters

The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride has become an Iconic Hollywood tradition that remains unparalleled and unmatched. Armies of demonic forces and dark presences litter the grounds and are frantic to strike at their favorite “hayriders.” This year’s sets are truly spectacular as the creative team takes on new special effects challenges not yet done in the live haunted attraction realm that will make the most unique haunted attraction in LA a show stopping vision of Haunt, Creep, and Bone Chill.

New this year is the House of Shadows. Enter the home that for centuries has been consuming its occupants with madness, resulting in heinous and unspeakable atrocities committed within it’s walls, all in the name of a vile entity known only as the Boogeyman! Waking the evil from its slumber through accidental experiments with Ouija Boards, you will find yourself plunged into darkness, room after room, forced into a necrotic void where there is NO EXIT–except to KEEP GOING!

3

Also new is Trick or Treat. Nothing will ever beat those vintage memories of crisp Halloween nights, running amuck dressed in rubber masks and plastic costumes down your neighborhood street, collecting ALL THAT CANDY! Re-live the adventure in our one of a kind, high startle and hilariously entertaining TRICK OR TREAT experience! Door after door, you’ll never know if you’re going to receive a Trick, a Treat, or both!

The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride has become an Iconic Hollywood tradition that remains unparalleled and unmatched. This year, the extended trail is back bringing an entirely new twenty-five (25) minute experience to those who think they’ve “seen it all.” Armies of demonic forces and dark presences litter the grounds and are frantic to strike at their favorite “hayriders.” This year’s sets are truly spectacular as the creative team takes on new special effects challenges not yet done in the live haunted attraction realm that will make the most unique haunted attraction in LA a show stopping vision of Haunt, Creep, and Bone Chill.

The gibbering of mad men echo through the twisting halls of this insane asylum turned Temple to the Apocalypse. The Revelation scriptures scribbled on the walls, etched in deep by broken and bloodied fingernails. With the pages of Mystics in the hands of Psychotics, the inmates have crowned themselves Unholy Vessels of the great Horsemen, and sit in judgment of your flesh in the bowels of their House. They themselves, “The Horsemen” will be there in character, each room of their house embodying the four elemental apocalyptic terrors: Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. Stand before them in judgement.

Don’t miss what FOX, NBC, CBS, ABC, MTV, G4, E, & Access Hollywood, have called “Terrifying and Awesome,” and Dread Central called “one of the most amazing spectacles I’ve ever seen in all my years of attending haunts.”

This is by far the best and most scary neighborhood haunted house in Los Angeles. Big Worms’ Sherwood Scare returns for another Halloween season and with a completely new theme! Once again, they are using their combined skills as filmmakers and craftsmen to bring you the best scares their imaginations could dream up.

This Halloween event takes place in a residential home where friends and family have created the most haunted DIY maze on the block!

The 3,600 square labyrinth of terror takes between 8 – 12 minutes to go through, and about the same time to recover from.

All proceeds go to Big Worms’s Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Their mission is to help ease the time for CF patients during hospital stays for frequent “tune ups” of IV antibiotics by giving them tangible gifts. CF patients are referred to the foundation through a social worker at Children’s Hospital. Donations given at Worm’s fundraisers will provide age-appropriate gifts on request such as video games, laptops, MP3 players, guitars, DVD players, and various toys. Until a cure is found, your donations can make a difference in the lives of children with Cystic Fibrosis. Donate here.

Blackout Elements

October 2, 2013 — Leave a comment

Blackout Elements takes its inspiration from the four basic elements (earth, water, air, fire) and includes indoor exterior environments, unusual tasks, and encounters with both odd and incredibly frightening, characters. The scares are still physical and psychological, but the experience feels less like an abduction and more like a journey through a ‘Narnia’ or ‘Wonderland’-like fantasy world gone terribly, terribly wrong.

954681_467817689983720_232805062_n

Over the years Blackout Elements has developed a cult following for its extreme brand of immersive horror theater. Creators Josh Randall and Kristjan Thorgeirsson are infamous for obliterating the traditional rules and limitations of haunted attractions and bending the genre to encompass darker, more extreme, scare tactics.

The interactive set has multiple courses and tormentors, so no two experiences are the same. Climb, crawl, and feeling your way through paths obscured by fog or darkness. Forked paths require a choice be made and create the illusion of being in control of your fate. The illusion of having control over how you explore the haunt makes the experience intensely personal and absolutely exhilarating. The experience is a barrage of horror and phobia scenarios capable of triggering a wide range of emotions.
