It’s the first Farm Tour of the 2015 Season in Southern California! Pack a picnic and come meet your farmer – get your Farm News from Thaddeus or one of their farm crew in person. You’re invited to stroll the orchards, make arts & crafts, pick up some fresh fruits and veggies from their market stand, and more.

Don’t forget to bring your camera, a picnic blanket and lunch, sunscreen, water and suitable shoes for walking on their farmland.

Now in its fifth year, coinciding with the 100th Anniversary of the famed iconic restaurant, the 2014 Yamashiro Farmers Market, organized by Yamashiro Hollywood and City Farm, will run every Thursday through September 4th, 2014.

This year Chef Brock Kleweno and his team at the “Yamashiro Grill” are bringing back the popular Brock Kleweno’s Taco menu, which will include a Miso-Glazed Black Cod Taco, Duck Confit Taco with Spiced Hoisin & Blood Orange Salsa, Red Wine & Sake-Braised Short Rib Taco, and a Pulled Chicken Taco with a Spicy Peanut Sauce, Pickled Cucumbers, and Onions. “Having received so many requests over the years, we’re excited to bring the tacos back for their fans,” said Kleweno.

The market will also feature weekly family-friendly activities by Giggle Factory on May 22, July 17, and 31, August 28, and September 4, Magician Steve Wastell on June 19, July 3, and 31, and August 14, The Ballusionist on May 29, June 26, July 24, August 7, and 21, Skirball Cultural Center on June 5, and Mosaic Church on June 12 and July 10.

Yamshiro’s Pagoda Bar will be open for drinks and light fare each week, and will feature the signature acoustics of DJ LC on May 22, June 26, July 31, and September 4.

During the Farmers Market, Yamashiro will be open for dinner and reservations may be made by calling the restaurant. Valet parking at Yamashiro is available to dinner guests of the restaurant.

Farm Tour

It’s Farm Tour season! Pack a picnic and join Farm Fresh To You at their Bardsdale farm for a harvest activity, attend a Farm Talk with Thaddeus, pick up some fresh fruits and veggies from their market stand, and take part in an arts and crafts activity.

What To Bring

Bring a blanket, picnic lunch, water, sunblock/sunhat and dress for the farm with comfortable closed-toe shoes for the orchards. Come out and join rain or shine!

City Farm is proud to announce the opening of their San Marino Farmers Market. This will be the first farmers market for the one-hundred-year-old city and will operate on the northwest corner of Huntington Drive and San Marino Avenue every Friday.
