Front Porch Cinema

Front Porch Cinema, a favorite for movie-lovers, is back on the Santa Monica Pier with FREE Friday night films under the stars! Presented by LA’s premier outdoor movie event producers, Eat|See|Hear, Front Porch Cinema will show family-friendly “Big Hero 6” on October 9, “The Imitation Game” on October 16, “Guardians of the Galaxy” on October 23, and Ghostbusters on October 30 on a giant inflatable screen. Guests can unwind on old-timey chairs, relax and enjoy some fan-favorite films, new and old.

Front Porch Cinema will also feature the “Cinema Lounge” starting at 6:00 pm so guests can come early to enjoy movie-themed cocktails and small bites to complement the films.

Malibu Creek State Park

Considered the recreational crown jewel of the Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu Creek State Park has over 8,000 acres of rolling tallgrass plains, oak savannah’s, and dramatic peaks. It’s no wonder many call it “The Yosemite of Southern California.”

There are 15 miles of streamside trail through oak and sycamore woodlands and chaparral-covered slopes. After a good rain, namesake Malibu Creek comes to life.

The park, formerly owned by 20th Century Fox Studios, opened in 1976 and has welcomed millions of visitors since. The stunning terrain here that has been seen all over the world in movies and television awaits you. Come hike, ride, climb, and explore L.A.’s most spectacular park!

Get ready to spice things up during the 22nd Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival! One of Oxnard’s signature events, the Oxnard Salsa Festival celebrates salsa food, music, and dance in historic downtown Oxnard.

Presented by the Oxnard Downtowners, the annual event features spicy food and fiery, top entertainment, attracting an estimated 45,000 salsa lovers to the City of Oxnard for the two-day action packed celebration.
