Street Food Cinema has booked many great music bands including the so rad 80’s band PAST ACTION HEROES who are ready to blow your 80’s lovin’ minds while you kick back on your blankets and enjoy the sun going down. But before they roll film on the quintessential John Hughes’s classic, THE BREAKFAST CLUB, they’re crazy happy to announce that they’ll have executive producer, ANDREW MEYER, dropping his best insider stories on the making of this amazing movie of teenage angst, class distinction, and Pixy Stix  sandwiches. In addition, KIRK HONEYCUTT will be signing his new book John Hughes: A Life in Film.

Exposition Park is where it all goes down starting Saturday, May 2nd. The food truck lineup keeps getting better as they add to their list of gourmet street food options. Now you can grab “The Director Dog” from Angie’s Wieners who will be serving up some of the best hotdogs on the West Cost or you can munch down some “Carne Asada Fries” from the oh so decadent menu of Fry Fry. Then if you dare, top it off with a sweet “breakfast” from Waffles de Liege or a double scoop of decadent Fried Ice Cream from the Frach’s.

Wildwood Canyon Park is a short, but very steep climb up a narrow ridge great for beginner and seasoned hikers alike. This is a great hike for residents of downtown L.A. and the Valley. The Vital Link trail ascends the ridge, with great views on both sides.

At the top, relax and enjoy some well-earned views of the San Gabriel Mountains to the north and Burbank to the south. This is a great place to take pictures and have a final rest and refuel for the ascent.

The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum is the presidential library and final resting place of Richard Milhous Nixon, the 37th President of the United States. Located in Yorba Linda, California, the library is one of 13 administered by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). From its original dedication in 1990 until becoming a federal facility on July 11, 2007, the library and museum was operated by the private Richard Nixon Foundation and was known as the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace. The 9-acre (3.6 ha) campus incorporates the Richard Nixon Birthplace, a National Historic Landmark where Nixon was born in 1913 and spent his childhood.

The museum, housed in a 52,000-square-foot (4,800 m2) building, offers a narrative of Nixon’s life and career. Behind the museum is the birthplace, which was constructed by Nixon’s father using a homebuilding kit, and restored to appear as it was in the 1910s.

President Nixon and Pat Nixon are buried on the grounds, just a few feet from the birthplace.
