OFF THE HOOK Santa Monica Seafood Festival

Introducing the first-ever OFF THE HOOK Santa Monica Seafood Festival, a seafood tasting and community awareness event on the Santa Monica Pier in celebration of National Seafood Month.

The event will bring the city’s finest chefs together to present dishes with their favorite underwater ingredients while raising funds and awareness for the sustainable seafood movement through a partnership with the Aquarium of the Pacific’s Seafood for the Future program.

Presented by Shock Top, attendees will enjoy all-you-can-eat seafood tastings, beer gardens, live music, interactive displays, cooking demos, oyster shucking competition, educational programming, with topics such as “What is ‘Local’ Seafood,” “History of Fishing on the Pier,” “How We Can Support Local Fisherman,” and “Understanding Where Your Fish Comes From,” as well as other marine-inspired activities.

Enjoy seafood tastings, curated cocktails, live music, chef demos, games, a sustainable seafood VIP Lounge, and learn about the sustainable seafood movement on the Santa Monica Pier.

Front Porch Cinema

Front Porch Cinema, a favorite for movie-lovers, is back on the Santa Monica Pier with FREE Friday night films under the stars! Presented by LA’s premier outdoor movie event producers, Eat|See|Hear, Front Porch Cinema will show family-friendly “Big Hero 6” on October 9, “The Imitation Game” on October 16, “Guardians of the Galaxy” on October 23, and Ghostbusters on October 30 on a giant inflatable screen. Guests can unwind on old-timey chairs, relax and enjoy some fan-favorite films, new and old.

Front Porch Cinema will also feature the “Cinema Lounge” starting at 6:00 pm so guests can come early to enjoy movie-themed cocktails and small bites to complement the films.

Silent Frisco Seaside Soiree

For decades, the Santa Monica Pier’s West End has been a destination for fishermen, street performers, seaside dining, and tourists posing in front of the world’s best sunsets. But, starting Sunday July 27th, the majestic venue at the end of the Pier welcomes music lovers and groovers for a silent dance party for the first time ever at this iconic location. Silent Frisco and Henry Lawrence Presents announce the new Silent Frisco Seaside Soiree: a one-of-a-kind outdoor music series under the sun with an infinite view of the Pacific.

Each installment breaks down into two segments: “Sunshine Sessions” and “Sunset Showdowns.” Sunshine Sessions will run from 2:00 – 5:00 pm and  feature dreamy daytime beats fit for audiences of all ages from the likes of KCRW superstars Jeremy Sole, Mario Cotto, DJ Valida, and Dan Wilcox. Looking for an outing for the whole family? Bring the kids! Kids 12 and under are free with a ticketed adult. Or, keep it adults-only and pair the music with a margarita from MariaSol for the ultimate Sunday Funday.

Sunset Showdowns will then take over the headphones’ two-channels from 5:00 – 9:00 pm as some of LA’s most illustrious DJ crews battle for dominance. Guests can choose their soundtrack with a simple flip of the switch. The DJs will bask in the glow of the pink SoCal sky, which provides an awe-inspiring backdrop to their eclectic sounds. Crews participating in the Sunset Showdown include LAMP, Touch Vinyl DJs, Headtron, Take 2 Entertainment, GottaDanceDirty, Dart DJs, Graff, Fortune 421, High Tide, The Do Lab, theLIFT, TheGoodVibe, and Motown on Mondays. Dance the day away and into the night at one of the city’s most spectacular settings.

This San Francisco-based crew of sonic missionaries turns impossible public performance challenges into powerful outpourings of free expression. Hey There Muscles

The Santa Monica Pier and the Ferrigno family fitness dynasty have teamed up to present a free six-week wellness program on the Pier called Hey There Muscles – Lean Fitness by FerrignoFIT, offering a complete overhaul of mind, body, and spirit with classes focused on creating lean muscle and healthy living and eating habits. Classes will be led by acclaimed actor and body builder, Lou Ferrigno, his daughter and business partner, Shanna and the extended family, as well as local experts.

Following the overwhelming success of the Santa Monica Pier Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival and weekly ROGA (free running + yoga classes), Santa Monica locals demanded another unique fitness program on the Pier, and the Hulk and his family delivered. Hey There Muscles was designed by the Ferrigno family and their team of dietitians and workout gurus to be a 360-health experience from mind to muscle.

The classes are a free way to shake off a Friday night and discover muscles that have been hiding, perhaps for years. Each week features a different acclaimed FerrignoFIT instructor in a judgement-free environment for all levels. The series is based on the full 12-week Incredibly Fit by FerrignoFIT program, which is a comprehensive fitness program that offers personalized meal plans, workouts, recipes, lifestyle tips, and more.
